Posted on June 23, 2017Red River Ski Area and Summer Area is officially open for the summer season with adventure for everyone. Trust us, you haven't lived till you've zipped dizzily down the mountainside on the longest summer tubing lanes in the country. If you're more into defying gravity than respecting it, the Hidden Treasure Aerial Park might be your thing featuring three course levels (difficult, more difficult and most difficult), two zip lines and a decent that will make you second guess your bravery.
These or any of the attractions at the ski area are more than worth heading up for a visit, but the number one draw this summer will be the celebration that Red River puts on for Independence Day. No other mountain town celebrates the Fourth of July quite like Red River. Come experience the biggest party of the summer with fun for all ages.
Be sure to book your room at
Sitzmark Sports Lodge, located just across the street from the ski area, well in advance (especially around July 4th) and check our
Summer lodging specials before you book. If you come up for a long weekend (the holiday falls on Tuesday this year) we can supply equipment for any outdoor activities like fishing poles, mountain bikes, surrey bikes, disc golf and
more to fill your time.
