Skiing is fun, but it's not the only thing to do in Red River! Whether you're a fan of getting your sweat on in the mountains or sipping wine and checking out fine art, there is something for the entire family to enjoy. Join us this summer as we take in all the fun events Red River has to offer.


37th Annual Red River Memorial Motorcycle Rally
May 23 – May 27


No motorcycle experience is needed to take part in this wile party. Complete with 20,000 bikers from all over the country, there will be live music, vendors, food, and fun at the 37th Annual Red River Memorial Motorcycle Rally. The entire town comes out to party on Main Street. Take your bike or car out to experience the Enchanted circle Scenic Byway—110 miles of the best scenery New Mexico has to offer, celebrate veterans in Brandenburg Park. Proceeds go to benefit Beds4Kidz, an UpB4 the Son Charity, so you can be sure you're your patronization is benefiting people in need, right here in New Mexico. Art and Wine Festival
June 14 – June 16


Take Dad on a trip he'll never forget. The Red River Art and Wine Festival takes place Father's Day weekend and is sure to be a fun time for all. Meet in Brandenburge Park to try out local and foreign wines, view (and buy) art, and enjoy the fresh summer air. With live and silent auctions taking place all weekend, you'll even be able to pick up a souvenir you know your dad will love. While in town, be sure to enjoy one of the many fun activities offered through Sitzmark and other local vendors and try out local restaurants and breweries.


79th Annual 4th of July Parade and Activities
July 4


Put in your PTO and make an extended weekend trip for the 4th of July holiday. For the last 78 years, Red River has celebrated 4th of July with a parade followed by a full day of family friendly activities. Be a part of the 79th year by heading to the parade at 10 a.m. After the parade, you can expect live music, great food, and an event special to Red River: Red River Community House's Egg Toss and Family Games. Start a new tradition this year. You'll be amazed by how close your family becomes by sharing special times like this in Red River!


Michael Martin Murphey's American West Fest
July 11 – July 14

Discover the excitement of the Wild West at Michael Martin Murphey's American West Fest in Red River. Ever wondered what it was like to be a Cowboy or Native American back then? How it felt to ride away on a horse with dust flying behind you? Find out by watching historical reenactments taking place throughout the weekend. Already included for daily sets are Ryan Murphey, Brennan Murphey, Carin Mari, Native American Prodigy Gareth Laffley, and more to come! Bring a piece of the West home with you by purchasing art from Western and Native American artists like Michael Martin Murphey. Every time you look at it, you'll be sure to remember an amazing weekend in Red River!


Wild River's Plein Air Festival
July 16 – July 21


Ever wondered how long it takes to create a masterpiece? Find out at The Artist Quick Draw taking place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 20 in Brandenburg Park. Up to 75 artists will race to create paintings which will then be displayed in the gazebo for judging. Watch the entire event or drop by to claim a painting for yourself. The Wild Rivers Plein Air Festival also features a two-day art show at the Brass Rail Theater. More than 175 pieces of artwork, all created in the previous 4 days, are set to be displayed. Meet the artists behind the works at the awards reception Saturday evening, with catered snacks and a bar. Make last-second buys and enjoy Red River on Sunday before heading home!


Red River Folk Festival at Aspencade
Sept. 20 – Sept. 22


Close out the summer at the third annual Red River Folk Festival at Aspencade. Experience folk culture, with countless booths featuring hand-crafted items, jewelry, home furnishings, food, art, pottery, and specialty items. There will also be delicious food and live entertainment. Wonder at the changing leaves surrounded by other travelers, artists, and adventurers. Be sure to grab your tickets before August 15 to get the discounted rate. The festival is sure to be a time you'll always remember!
